Enhanced Rating System for Asp.Net

How can I retrieve the selected value (CurrentValue) of the ASP.NET Rating control in javascript? I have it implemented within a datagrid, and I am facing difficulty in accessing the CurrentValue property. Any suggestions or solutions for this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Answer №1

Is there a way to incorporate the current value of a Rating control in JavaScript code?
One method could involve setting the values in hidden variables and passing the variable names as an array to JavaScript:

  1. Within the RowDataBound Event of the DataGrid

    AjaxControlToolkit.Rating objRatingControl= (AjaxControlToolkit.Rating)row.FindControl("objRatingControl");
    Page.ClientScript.RegisterArrayDeclaration("RatingControlIDs", "'" + objRatingControl.ClientID + "'");

  2. This array of Rating controls can now be utilized in JavaScript.
