Enhance and minimize perspective in Three.js

Recently, I included a sphere and plane geometry in my scene. However, when I zoom in, the plane geometry seems too large and when I zoom out, it appears unnaturally small. I am struggling to find a solution to this issue - can anyone offer some guidance on how to fix it?

Answer №1

Absolutely! It would be beneficial to add some animation to the camera in this particular scenario.

Assuming that your objects are currently centered at coordinates 0, 0, 0.

let zoomIn = true;

function animateCamera() {
    if (zoomIn && camera.position.z > 10) {
        camera.position.z -= 0.1;
    } else if (!zoomIn && camera.position.z < 100) {
        camera.position.z += 0.1;
    }

    requestAnimationFrame(animateCamera);
    renderer.render(scene, camera);
}
animateCamera();
