Can anyone provide me with a javascript regular expression to validate image file extensions?
Can anyone provide me with a javascript regular expression to validate image file extensions?
What is the intention behind this code?
Here's an example assuming you only want to support certain image file types.
(/\.(gif|jpe?g|tiff?|png|webp|bmp)$/i).test(filename)
I have enclosed the entire regular expression in parentheses () to clarify the distinction between the slash (/) operator and RegExp object. Refer to JSLint for more insights.
Additionally, here is the raw regex:
/\.(gif|jpe?g|tiff?|png|webp|bmp)$/i
This Regex also assumes that you're including the dot before the extension. Remove the \.
if not needed.
