Developing a system for monitoring email open rates and geographical analytics using JavaScript?

I'm embarking on a project to develop an email tracker that can create a distinct pixel and monitor open rates using JavaScript with MeteorJS.

Are there any valuable resources out there that could help me achieve this goal? I've come across examples in PHP like ToutApp, but haven't found anything specifically for JS.

Thanks in advance!

To implement server-side routing with Iron:Router, you can use it to monitor when a user interacts with links like /emails/ew45gf23. This URL could contain the unique identifier '_id' associated with an email stored in a collection. For example, you can retrieve the email using EmailsSent.findOne({_id: _id})

Router.route('/emails/:_id', function () {

  var clickedEmail = EmailsSent.findOne({_id: _id});

  ... Perform necessary tracking actions here ...

  this.response.end('email click recorded\n');

}, {where: 'server'});
