Are there any debugging tools specific to Internet Explorer for JavaScript?

I need a reliable JavaScript debugger for Internet Explorer. I have tried using Firebug Lite, but it doesn't seem as detailed as the original Firebug when it comes to displaying JavaScript errors. Does anyone know how to pinpoint JavaScript errors in Internet Explorer, including the exact line number and file name? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Answer №1

Yes, indeed there is a way to access developer tools in Internet Explorer. By pressing F-12 in later versions of IE, you will be able to utilize IE's dev tools. Although not as advanced as Chrome or Firefox, these tools still allow you to check ajax requests, inspect the DOM, set breakpoints in JavaScript code, and even emulate previous versions of IE.
