AngularJS and Bootstrap tabs clashing with each other

I have implemented the JavaScript Bootstrap 3 tabs according to the documentation, as shown below:

<!-- Nav tabs -->
<ul class="nav nav-tabs" role="tablist">
  <li class="active"><a href="#home" role="tab" data-toggle="tab">Home</a></li>
  <li><a href="#profile" role="tab" data-toggle="tab">Profile</a></li>
  <li><a href="#messages" role="tab" data-toggle="tab">Messages</a></li>
  <li><a href="#settings" role="tab" data-toggle="tab">Settings</a></li>
</ul>

<!-- Tab panes -->
<div class="tab-content">
  <div class="tab-pane active" id="home">...</div>
  <div class="tab-pane" id="profile">...</div>
  <div class="tab-pane" id="messages">...</div>
  <div class="tab-pane" id="settings">...</div>
</div>

However, when using Angular, it modifies the URL to /#/profile.

Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

Answer №1

Replace the href attribute with data-target and your urls will remain unchanged while still functioning as intended.

Answer №2

There was a time when Angular did not intercept clicks on links with the _target attribute set. Maybe that could be the solution in this scenario?
