Alter the content of a div by simply clicking on it without leaving the current page

I am facing an issue where the main topics in my menubar only have text introductions and no images. I would prefer a solution where when clicking on "about me", instead of loading a full page, only the content of that particular div changes. The idea is to fade out the current content and fade in the corresponding one upon clicking.

Does anyone have a solution for this? My attempt to use the LUKGt/5/jsfiddle did not work, as all the content was displayed at once.

Thank you in advance

If you need to update the content inside a div, you can utilize the .html([insert your HTML here]) method. Simply create a function that fetches the desired information upon a button or menu item click event, then use .html to replace the existing content within the specified div.

Check out this JsFiddle example for reference: https://jsfiddle.net/abc123/1/

Sample HTML Code:

<div id="content">
  Initial Content
</div>

<button type="button" id="updateContentBtn">Update div content</button>

Javascript Function:

$("#updateContentBtn").click(function() {
  $("#content").html("New Content");
})
