Adding a service into a different service within AngularJS

I'm trying to add a login module to my AngularJS app. When I try to call UserService from the authenticationService, it's showing as undefined. What am I missing here, why is UserService coming up as undefined?

var authenticationService = angular.module('authenticationService', []);

authenticationService.factory('authenticationSvc', ['$http', '$cookieStore', '$rootScope', '$timeout', 'UserService',

function AuthenticationService($scope, $http, $cookieStore, $rootScope, $timeout, UserService) {
    var service = {};

    service.Login = Login;
    service.SetCredentials = SetCredentials;
    service.ClearCredentials = ClearCredentials;

    return service;

function Login(username, password, callback) {
        var response;

        UserService.GetByUsername(username) //UserService is unidefined!!!
                .then(function (user) {
                    if (user !== null && user.password === password) {
                        response = { success: true };
                    } else {
                        response = { success: false, message: 'Username or password is incorrect' };
                    }
                    callback(response);
                });

    }

Make sure to double check your dependency injection process: the number of elements in the dependency array should match the number of arguments in your function. It's important to inject every dependency in both places and ensure they are in the correct order. Angular may get confused if this is not done correctly, leading to unexpected results.

Consider updating your code to:

authenticationService.factory('authenticationSvc', ['$scope','$http', '$cookieStore', '$rootScope', '$timeout', 'UserService',

    function AuthenticationService($scope, $http, $cookieStore, $rootScope, $timeout, UserService) {
    ...
    }
]);

In addition to that, when creating a new module like this:

 var authenticationService = angular.module('authenticationService', []);

Keep in mind that this creates a module with no dependencies. If UserService is defined in another module, make sure it's injected into the current service module or the main app module for accessibility.

Remember: angular.module(name,array) creates a new module while angular.module(name) retrieves an existing one.

Lastly, consider combining your Authentication service with your UserService in the same module to simplify things. This way, it will be readily available without needing extra modules.

Just a heads up on naming conventions as well: ensure consistency in naming patterns to avoid confusion when including services as dependencies.
