A declaration of "import '***.css';" was located within an ECMAScript module file in the monaco-editor npm library

It's perplexing to me why the developers of monaco-editor included these statements, as they are actually causing errors in my browser such as:

Failed to load module script:
Expected a JavaScript module script but the server responded with a MIME type of "text/css".
Strict MIME type checking is enforced for module scripts per HTML spec.

Answer №1

There is a well-known problem with the monaco-editor tool.

This individual explains it thoroughly in their response. It seems that using monaco-editor requires your own bundler (such as webpack) to manage CSS imports.
